FAIRTAX ON THE ROBERT PATILLO SHOW

If you tuned in to WAOK Atlanta, 1380 AM (a CBS affiliate) on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, you would have heard our President, Steve Hayes, being interviewed by Civil Rights Attorney and Radio Talk Show Host, Robert Patillo. In case you missed it, the nine and a half-minute segment is available by clicking on, or pasting, the following link:

Patillo’s show, People, Passion and Politics, is a fast-paced radio show focusing on areas affecting the African-American community, including but not limited to wealth empowerment, political reform and personal actualization. Patillo thanked Steve for calling in on July 4 because, as Patillo observed, “One of the things that the ‘founding’ was about was about getting away from taxes, getting away from the economic tyranny of England, but then it took about 100 years or 130 years, and we got right back into taxation, to the economic tyranny by the elites.” Patillo then asked “What is FAIRtax doing to try to get us back to those founding roots?” Hayes replied, “What we’re looking at is going back to what the original founders wanted, which is a taxation system that is self-correcting, meaning that if the tax rates became too high, people didn’t pay it. And the way you do that besides being a criminal is you have taxes on items of consumption.”

We got the engagement through Joshua Delano of Houston, Texas. If you need help getting on the air in your local area, please let Steve Hayes, shayes@fairtax.org, or me know. Josh’s rates are reasonable.
