The New Fairtax.Org
The new FairTax.org has gone into test mode, and we anticipate it will go live by the end of December.
Texting the FairTax®
Board of Director members Randy Fischer (Florida) and John Steinberger (South Carolina) and the members of their Marketing and Communications Committee (MCC) are happy to work with you to begin utilizing AFFT’s texting service. With AFFT texting, an individual can text MEMBER to 68398, and after receiving a confirmation message, they will receive a second message with a link to the AFFT membership form located at: https://www.trailblz.info/americansfairtax/EventComplete.aspx?eventid=56
If someone simply wants more information on the FairTax Plan, they can text WHYGOFAIRTAX (no spaces) to 68398. After receiving their confirmation message, they will receive a second message that directs the sender to a special FairTax information link.
If you want to reach Randy for more information, his email is randy.fischer@icloud.com.
The IRS And The FairTax®
As Cindy points out in her article, there is a growing debate on IRS funding and the impact a reduction in that funding will have on the agency’s ability to collect income taxes.
The question that needs to be asked is, “Why do we need an agency like the IRS at all?” The income needed to support the government can be more easily generated with the kind of tax called for by the Founding Fathers in the U. S. Constitution—an excise tax like the FairTax.
It’s a really a very simple but important question, and one that we need to ensure gets in front of every Member of Congress and the news media. And we are just the organization to present the question. The way we do that is through strength, and that strength comes from you – your memberships, your donations and your participation.
Please consider giving the gift of an AFFT paid membership to friends and family this holiday season. That’s right, it is not too late to send the one gift that will keep on giving for generations to come – the FairTax Plan. And if you have the means, please consider sending AFFT an end-of-year gift of $5, $10, $25 or more. You can send your gift by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1wCr75f
Cindy and I are preparing for our January trip to Washington, and with your help, we look forward to delivering the FairTax message of freedom and economic growth.
A Personal Message
The FairTax campaign is unique in that it is a national movement of grassroots volunteers – everyday citizens like you and me. And many of us have been toiling in the FairTax trenches for a very long time. By now, most people would have given up. Yet, like those who stood behind the civil rights, Prohibition and suffrage movements, we persist knowing that someday the FairTax will become the law of the land.
As 2014 comes to a close, I am more encouraged and more excited than I have ever been before. And as we celebrate this holiday season, I am reminded that the ultimate gift we can give our children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors is to stay the course until the FairTax is one day the law of the land.
Thank you for staying FairTax strong!
