Funding AFFT and The FairTax Campaign
Funding the efforts of the FairTax campaign has never been more critical than it is today.  With a new Congress, new leadership in the House Ways and Means Committee, new FairTax sponsorship in the U.S. Senate, and renewed interest by the Washington media, it is vital that we take advantage of this moment in time.

FairTax Chronicles
Last week I spoke about the funding previously provided by the FairTax Chronicles. We are currently interviewing companies who provide this service and expect to select a service provider and send out a new FairTax Chronicles within the next two weeks. If you do not want to receive Chronicle messages, you will always have the option of opting out of the sponsored Chronicle messages without affecting your receipt of other FairTax communications.  We hope you won’t though, because supporting the Chronicles program is an easy way to help fund the FairTax tax campaign. Look for more information in the coming weeks.

The AFFT $10.40 Club

Whenever I meet with major donor prospects, I am always asked to describe three things: AFFT’s overhead costs, the plans for AFFT when the FairTax passes and an overview of how the grassroots funds basic operations. The fact that AFFT only has two paid staff and is a campaign that will end when the FairTax is enacted (and the 16th Amendment is repealed) is always well received. To provide the basic services and support levels our state leaders determined are essential, AFFT must cover $28,000 per month in overhead.

While at first this may sound like a daunting challenge, consider this:  If just 60 people in each of our great 50 states are willing to pledge $10.40 per month, AFFT can amass a funding army of 3,000 people capable of underwriting AFFT’s minimal overhead. This will encourage major donors to underwrite the critical, more expensive special projects that will turbocharge our campaign.  Put another way, out of 330 million people in the United States, we only need 3,000 committed FairTax Patriots, willing to invest $10.40 per month to help ensure passage of the FairTax and a return of personal freedom and economic prosperity.

If you are not a member of the $10.40 club please click here and join, and if you are able, please consider multiple $10.40 club memberships. If you cannot commit to the $10.40 club or just want to make a single donation you can do so here, and don’t forget to encourage all your family, friends and business associates to also make a donation.

Finally, many of us remember hearing stories from family members who were first generation Americans about how America gave them opportunities that no other country could provide.  Ronald Reagan once said, “I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts.”

With the FairTax we are limiting government and reestablishing America as the country where dreams can come true.

Thank you for staying FairTax strong!
