Chairman's Report - March 6, 2015

Welcome Peggy Ernst-Green, AFFT’S New Director of Government Relations

I am very excited that Peggy Ernst-Green – a veteran of the Texas FairTax organization -  will be leading our federal and state FairTax® legislative program.  Peggy’s impressive career spanned executive positions working with federal, state and local elected officials and agency representatives.  She has a deep understanding of how governments and legislative bodies work, and is eager to immediately begin having a major impact for the FairTax.

Peggy will join me during my upcoming March trip to Washington, and has already begun taking the lead in setting up appointments and activities.  I am pleased to report that she has thus far been so successful that we may have trouble seeing all of the people she is contacting - a really great problem to have.  Please join me in welcoming Peggy to AFFT.  She can be reached at Peggy.Green-Ernst@FairTax.org.

Almost Here:  FairTax Chronicles

We are in the process of selecting the first sponsor for our new FairTax Chronicles initiative. As I have said before, the Chronicles is a great way to receive information from a variety of FairTax sponsors while helping AFFT raise much needed funds – all from the convenience of your computer or phone. And remember, if you do not want to receive Chronicle messages, you always have the option of opting out without affecting your receipt of other FairTax communications. We hope you won’t though, because supporting the Chronicles program is an easy way to help fund the FairTax tax campaign. We looking forward to bringing this important program back to AFFT!

The AFFT 1040 Club and The FairTax Campaign

Many of the organizations in Washington, D.C. are really funded by just a few people and a few organizations.   As discussed last week, Members of Congress and major donors view our 1040 Club volume as evidence that AFFT is a grassroots organization.

As I have previously shared, we only need 3,000 people contributing $10.40 per month to meet our minimal operating budget. Plus, we have the power of membership numbers when discussing the FairTax with Members of Congress!

As you can see, every $10.40 monthly contribution is a huge step forward towards the FairTax becoming the law of the land. If you are not yet a member of the AFFT 1040 club, please click here and join. And when you are done, if you are able, please consider going to the donate button and sending a one-time contribution that we can use to fund critical projects like  Washington travel and district targeting initiatives.

Thank you for staying FairTax strong!
