Chairman's Report - September 11, 2015

Nashville and NFRA

Last week, I shared some comments on the recent meeting in Nashville.  I thought it would be good to provide this from Kip Dodson, the FAIRtax Tennessee state director.

The National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA) held its Presidential Preference Endorsing Convention in Nashville last weekend http://www.nfraconvention2015.com/ . FAIRtax Tennessee’s Kip Dodson, Tony Urbanek, and James Baird attended various sessions and had a booth.  Steve Hayes, chairman and president of Americans For Fair Taxation, flew in to address the attendees.

Steve presented the FAIRtax to the convention Friday.  His message was well received as he explained the alignment of the FAIRtax Plan and NFRA’s goals.  A quick survey of the audience indicated that most in attendance already knew something about the FAIRtax.  The audience loved hearing that they can expect the economy to grow much more rapidly in the first year after FAIRtax implementation.  Upon being asked, “Who likes the IRS,” the audience responded with obvious disapproval.

Perhaps best of all, FairTax Tennessee provided the convention a FAIRtax endorsement resolution, and at Sunday’s closing session of the convention, delegates overwhelmingly approved the endorsement urging grassroots Republicans to get on board!  The NFRA press release can be read by clicking here.

As the icing on the cake, the 7th District United States House Member, Marsha Blackburn, became a co-sponsor of HR 25 this same week.

Another Kansas Event

As you will read in this week’s FAIRtax Friday, the Kansas FAIRtax team pulled off another great event in Wichita.  The entire event was filmed by Senator Moran’s staff and will be posted on YouTube.  When it is posted we will share the link.

Thanks again Kansas FAIRtax!!!

AFFT National LOGO Store and Scrolling Signs

Going into the primary system, it is even more important that all of us have FAIRtax signs that we can bring to political rallies.  Many venues will not allow us to bring signs attached to metal or wood holders.  That is why Rudy Treml designed and had printed the scrolling FAIRtax signs. Visit our National Store at www.fairtaxlogostore.org and purchase some Personal FAIRtax℠ Scrolling Handheld Event signs.

It is a handheld scrolling event sign printed in color on both sides with our new logo. When folded up, this banner is only 2” x 9” but opens up to a 27” x 9” presentation
which self-retracts. It is ideal for all political events and easily fits in a pocket, jacket or purse when not in use.  To see a picture of this banner please click here.
