PRESS RELEASE — Author, Peggy Green-Ernst: "Love & Compassion... Spiritual Solutions For Our Politics & Our Lives!"
Considering the divisiveness of the political discussion today along with alternative “facts”, Peggy Green-Ernst recently published "Love & Compassion... Spiritual Solutions For Our Politics & Our Lives!" to set the record straight on actual facts for the national issues being debated.
She also used Jesus Christ’s message of love and compassion as her filter to consider solutions to these issues, which may appeal across the political divide.
Green-Ernst utilizes her decades of national public policy experience, and brings a personal perspective to her readers to educate them on the historical evolution as well as the economic and humanitarian impacts of the issues. Further, she provides a Commentary section at the end of most chapters offering compassionate solutions.
She focused on the following:
• Will Social Security be available for younger generations?
• Is universal health care a viable option?
• Can we prevent future financial crises, like the Great Recession of 2008?
• Is climate change a threat?
• Is the military industrial complex on autopilot?
• Are we prepared to compete in a global economy?
• Why is a national retail sales tax better than the current income tax system?
• Analysis of the two party political system, campaign finance reform, congressional term limits, and alternative voting systems
Book excerpt from “Conclusion” chapter: “American policy has looked at health care, employment, international trade and tax policy as separate silos. However, in reality in today’s ever changing world, those areas are interconnected, and policy should be considered which weaves a compassionate solution for the benefit of all Americans while sustaining our ideals of ‘Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness’".
Green-Ernst served for 11 years as Executive Director of a national organization for the housing and financial services industry, and for several years as Director Government Relations for a major manufacturing company, where she also worked on international issues.
Her Volunteer positions have included: a gubernatorial appointment as a State of Texas Commissioner to the Texas National Research Laboratory Commission, as well as serving on the Board of Directors and as the Director Government Relations for Americans For Fair Taxation.
She earned her Master’s in Business Administration degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and lives with her husband in Fairview, a suburb of Dallas. She is available for speaking engagements, book signings, conferences, and interviews.
