Orange Park Farmers’ & Arts Market – Take Two

Congratulations to Florida FAIRtax-er Manny Salinas who finally pulled it off!

A few weeks ago Manny was all set to have a FAIRtax table and canopy at the Orange Park, Florida, Farmers' & Arts Market but at the last minute lousy weather canceled the event.

They tried again on Sunday, July 19 and this time the event went off.  Manny was there and he had insurance, which he had arranged through us several days before.

Manny organized and set up the display.  Then he and Paul Livingston worked The FAIRtax booth from 10AM to 2PM.  The duo collected 31 new FAIRtax supporter names and their Email-Addresses.  As usual, there was much enthusiasm for The FAIRtax as reflected by frequent comments such as, “We need this more than ever”, “Wish this would pass now”, and “When will it pass?”.

Collecting names and Email-Addresses is important.  The information goes into our Email-Service so, long after market-goers leave and forget about The FAIRtax, they start receiving our awesome weekly reminders.  This is critical because research has shown it takes several exposures to a message before it registers with the average adult.

Florida has been in the middle of a COVID-19 resurgence, so putting on this event had its challenges.  Still, it drew a medium size crowd with all age groups represented.  About half wore masks.  There were over 30 vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, books, wind chimes, quilts, and of course food.  Under the circumstances, the event was a success!

Here is a picture of Manny and their booth.  All The FAIRtax materials you see in the picture, such as signs, palm cards, prebate cards, and bumper stickers, came from The FAIRtax Store which you can access by visiting FAIRtax.org and clicking the Menu “Store”.

If you’re planning to have a FAIRtax booth at a public event, please let me know by emailing me  I would love to arrange for you to have insurance at no cost to you and then put your picture in a future Grassroots Corner.

Yours In Liberty!
